Carlos Cantu-Lee
Carlos Cantu-Lee, co-founder of InterpreNet, brings to his clients a unique combination of talent and experience. As an independent linguist, Carlos collaborated on more than 300 assignments with law firms and industrial companies in Chicago. He also has worked extensively with government officials from Mexico.
Carlos has worked for more than 20 years as an international consultant, working with companies such as Caterpillar, Hewlett-Packard, Canadian National and A.T. Kearney in the fields of Finance, Operations, Strategy and Human Resources.
Carlos co-founded InterpreNet in 2003 with partner David Medrano. Their vision was to create an interpretation and translation firm that was renowned for its professional service, reliability and accuracy. In a short time, InterpreNet has emerged as the fastest growing language company in the Chicagoland area.
Born in Mexico and raised in a multicultural environment, Carlos is fluent in Spanish and English. He also has a working knowledge of French and his Chinese grandparents taught him how to speak Cantonese. Carlos lived in Montreal, Canada for 2 1/2 years and has lived in Chicago since 1993.
Carlos earned BS and MA degrees from the ITESM in Mexico, as well as an MBA/MEM from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
David Medrano
David Medrano, co-founder of InterpreNet, offers his clients that rare union of superb language skills combined with solid business acumen.
David’s life has revolved around languages and international business experience. He has worked as a professional court interpreter and conference interpreter. He has provided interpretation services for Fortune 500 corporations, important foreign dignitaries, and national government leaders.

David also had extensive exposure to languages, while growing up in the Canary Islands in Spain. He is fluent in Spanish and English; he has extensive knowledge of French and German.
David received an international education. He has an International Baccalaureate from St. Clare’s College in Oxford, England and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Bath University in England.
